I think many of us thought it would never happen, but Spring is upon us… and the sun is out Chicago! Well, it’s THINKING about it. =)
Though it’s important to be aware of daily sunlight exposure all year-round, the thought of daylight in Chicago after this winter is suddenly inspiring! So, I thought I would take a moment to share some of my favorite daily-use facial sunscreen products.
My favorite for a smooth, powdery finish (AND there’s bonus Vitamin C!!!):
Obagi Medical Products Gentle Rejuvenation Fortified Sunscreen.
This is sunscreen is unique because it features the ever-important antioxidant Vitamin C in its broad spectrum, matte finish sunscreen formulation.I love this one for it’s fresh, almost citrusy (yet subtle) scent. This line rocks, by the way, and so does the Obagi 360 system, but I digress…
My favorite for a tinted sunscreen:
Revision Skin Care Intellishade Original SPF 45
This anti-aging tinted moisturizer with sunscreen is a New Beauty Magazine “Beauty Choice Product Winner”, likely due to its ability to blend naturally with almost every skin tone.Peptides in this formulation, along with hydrators and antioxidants make this broad-spectrum protection a MUST! Available in two finishes, Matte (clean, shine-free) and Original (dewey, hydrated-looking), there is a finish for everyone.
My favorite for sensitive skin:
SkinMedica Daily Physical Defense SPF 30
This oil-free, fragrance-free SPF offers fairly-creamy-yet-sheer broad spectrum defense against UVA/UVB for even the most reactive or sensitive skin types. (If you despise coconut-scented, greasy SPF that makes your eyes water, this might be good for you)
The “physical” part of the title means that this is product features non-chemical SPF ingredients (Dr. Erickson’s favorite sunscreen elements) titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.
