BELOTERO BALANCE® is a type of Dermal Filler or Soft Tissue Filler, specially designed to integrate into your skin and mold to your distinct facial contours. BELOTERO BALANCE® Dermal Filler is made of a material called hyaluronic acid (or HA). HA naturally exists as a component of your skin. By binding to water, it fills in wrinkles and folds, creating immediate and smooth correction.

By adapting to the individuality of your skin, it softens lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth for smooth and natural results. It is this unique property that makes BELOTERO BALANCE® Dermal Filler strong enough to handle deep treatment areas such as nasolabial folds (smile lines around the mouth or the ‘parenthesis’), yet soft enough to treat more delicate areas such as vertical lip lines (thin lines that appear above the lip line).

Who is it good for?

People who want to soften the look of fine lines and wrinkles, most commonly in the lower half of the face. BELOTERO BALANCE® is also great for those who want an improvement in the look of their skin, but are not yet ready for (or do not wish to have) a surgical cosmetic procedure. BELOTERO BALANCE® is often used in conjunction with other techniques like laser resurfacing, medical-grade facials, or nueromodulators to complement and enhance those results.

What should I expect?

Once you have discussed your needs with Dr. Erickson, your treatment can take place in less than fifteen minutes. Improvement is usually instantly noticeable, though you may have some minor swelling from the procedure. BELOTERO BALANCE® results are known to last between three and four months. In some cases, an optional “touch-up” treatment of a lesser volume of BELOTERO BALANCE® may be suggested about 2 weeks after the first treatment for the best results.

Are there risks?

Though less common, there is a chance of minor bruising associated with any injectable. To lessen your chances of bruising, we recommend discontinuing use of products like Aspirin, Blood-Thinners, Fish-Oils, Alcohol, Aleve, and any aspirin-based products like Alka Seltzer for 2 weeks prior to your procedure.
