BOTOX® Cosmetic is known as a neuromodulator. Neuromodulators are molecules that relax the muscles that cause wrinkles just below the skin. They are often used to smooth out the appearance of a wrinkle that is made by ‘scrunching’; for example, the small vertical angry-looking lines between the eyebrows, also known as the glabellar lines, or the ’11”s.

Who is it good for?

People who want to soften the look of fine lines and wrinkles, most often in the upper half of the face. BOTOX® Cosmetic is also great for those who want an improvement in the look of their skin, but are not yet ready for (or do not wish to have) a surgical cosmetic procedure. BOTOX® Cosmetic is often used in conjunction with other techniques like laser resurfacing, medical-grade facials, or dermal fillers to complement and enhance those results.
