MOXI® is a gentle, yet effective laser resurfacing option for patients looking for less downtime.

Specifically designed for preventative measures, MOXI® comfortably delivers non-ablative laser energy to revitalize your skin by correcting initial signs of sun damage and aging, no matter the season or skin type. Ablative lasers work by removing the outermost layer of skin. In contrast, non-ablative lasers are less invasive; they heat cells in deeper dermal layers to stimulate collagen production, allowing for quicker healing.

What does it treat?

MOXI® focuses on prejuvenation and overall skin quality, but it can also address specific conditions such as pigmentation, sun damage, uneven skin tone and texture, wrinkles, or the appearance of minor skin laxity.

We offer MOXI® treatments for your face, neck, chest, arms, hands and legs.

Who is a candidate for MOXI®?

MOXI® can treat all skin types, all year round.

It is perfect for those just starting their skincare journey, looking for a light touch up, or those wanting something more but with less downtime.

How many MOXI® treatments should I expect?

Everyone’s skin is different. Everyone’s needs are different. MOXI® can be performed on its own or in conjunction with other treatments, such as BBL Hero™, to improve the overall quality of your skin!

During your consultation, Dr. Erickson will personalize your treatment plan, including the number of sessions, configuration, and complementary treatments required to meet your lifestyle needs and properly address your skin concerns.

Depending on the level of correction desired, a series of 3 to 4 corrective treatments, as well as annual maintenance treatments, may be recommended.

What should I expect?

A full-face MOXI® treatment will take about an hour to complete.

Differing settings may affect the sensations you feel during your treatment, but most patients find MOXI® very tolerable. A topical numbing cream is usually applied prior to the procedure to minimize discomfort.

MOXI® creates micro-coagulation zones in the skin, which trigger a natural wound-healing process in the skin and encourage collagen production. For the day following your treatment, your skin may appear red and, depending on the level of treatment, you may see the small micro-dots called “mendz” appear where the laser was applied. As the zones heal, the mendz will darken and feel rough to the touch (almost like fine sandpaper). Between days 3 and 5, the mendz will slough off, revealing the renewed skin beneath.

Post care is simple: Wear a moisturizing sunscreen and stay out of the sun! You may wear makeup 24 hours after your treatment.

Simply put, this is one of the most gentle and easily tolerated laser treatments available!
