Skin Rejuvenation

RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler is a type of Dermal Filler or Soft Tissue Filler, specially designed to integrate into your skin and mold to your distinct facial contours.

What is it?

RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler is made of a material called hyaluronic acid or HA. HA naturally exists as a component of your skin. RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler also includes a calcium microsphere, which makes it a very unique soft tissue filler. Once injected, it provides immediate volume and correction, but one of the most exciting things about RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler is what happens under the skin after the treatment.

The tiny calcium microspheres in the gel as a scaffolding, providing structure for your collagen to grow. This collagen ingrowth extends the initial effect of Radiesse filler, resulting in correction of up to one year or more. so you can enjoy a long-lasting natural appearance. These microspeheres are biocompatible, as they are comprised of minerals occurring naturally in your body.

This unique property of RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler allows it to adapt within the skin for soft and even correction that lasts. Over time, the filler is reabsorbed through your body’s own natural metabolic processes, leaving behind only your own natural collagen.

Who Is it good for?

People who want to soften the look of fine lines and wrinkles, most commonly in the lower two-thirds of the face. RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler is also great for those who want an improvement in the look of their skin, but are not yet ready for (or do not wish to have) a surgical cosmetic procedure. RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler is often used in conjunction with other techniques like laser resurfacing, medical-grade facials, or nueromodulators to complement and enhance those results.

What should I expect?

Once you have discussed your needs with Dr. Erickson, your treatment can take place in less than fifteen minutes. Improvement is usually instantly noticeable, though you may have some minor swelling from the procedure. While the results of RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler are long-lasting, they’re not permanent. RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler results can last up to a year, and sometimes longer.
